The 76-year-old singer was found lifeless at her Parisian home by her caregiver. Weakened by a CVA (cerebrovascular accident) in September 2021, the mother of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon had indeed had to cancel several concerts at the beginning of the year, but also his summer tour.
“I have always been a great optimist, and I realize that I still need a little time to be able to be on stage again and with you”, she then announced in a press release in May. In addition to his stroke, the artist inseparable from Serge Gainsbourg had to fight twice against the same disease, leukaemia, diagnosed for the first time in 1998. Declining health for Jane Birkin
