What do the Altered, Volatile, and Collapsed Reality Boxes in the Time Rifts contain? -World of Warcraft

During a Temporal Rift in patch 10.1.5, you can accumulate Temporal Essence. This is obtained by killing enemies or by accomplishing certain objectives such as filling an hourglass or defusing bombs. If you’re quick, you can get rewards in the form of cache.

The quality of the cache depends on the number of temporal essences obtained: 2500 for a green box, 5000 for a blue box and 7500 for a purple box. Of course, the most difficult cache to obtain is also the most interesting.

From what I’ve seen on the live so far, here’s what you can expect. We already had information dating from the PTR, but it is always good to have the final values:

  • Altered Reality Box (Green)
    • 50 paracausal sequins
    • 10 reputation points towards Soridormi
  • Volatile reality box (blue)
    • 75 paracausal sequins
    • 25 reputation points towards Soridormi
    • Sometimes an Encapsulated Destiny (guarantees that the next Time Rift brings a reward)
  • Collapsed reality box (purple)
    • 100 paracausal spangles
    • 30 reputation points towards Soridormi
    • Sometimes another item like a mount (the Sulfur Hound was confirmed by a player). You might be able to get one of the mounts sold by the merchants near Soridormi this way.

Some items might be present but rare, especially for the purple box. Higher caches may also drop a Greater Encapsulated Destiny, an item that grants a mount or pet in the next Intrusive Reality.

To get as many Time Essences as possible, you have to rush to kill monsters and complete objectives. Being in the zone is enough to get credit for kills made by other nearby players, which is necessarily an advantage. Be careful and responsive though if you’re aiming for the collapsed reality box.
