According to the vice-president of the Region: “The sector must capitalize on its strengths to improve performance, capitalize on its major strength, which has been confirmed in recent years, ie its dual duality. The coexistence of military and civilian activities, within the companies that make up the sector, as well as the duality between marine and submarine activities are the keys to the dynamism and resilience of the actors. This specificity must absolutely be preserved. We will see to it with Renaud Muselier”.
He added : “You’ve seen the demonstrations, you’ve seen the potential for innovation. It was therefore not easy to choose a winner. I would like to thank all the companies, the researchers, who took part in this event. For this Regional Innovation Prize, we have chosen a project combining strong technological maturity, development prospects and new operational capabilities. This is the company SeaOwl, which we reward for their armed surface drone the SeaHornet. This is a special moment for me since I had the opportunity to welcome SeaOwl, in the port of my town in La Londe-les-Maures, when the company was looking for a site to develop. Like what, partnership is important for success! By hunting in packs, we succeed” !
