The two hunters found dead in Saint-Fromond (Manche) on the night of Wednesday 22 to Thursday, January 23 were victims of carbon monoxide poisoning learned BFM Normandie from Gauthier Poupeau, attorney for Coutances this Saturday, January 26.
The two men aged 20 and 21 were in the process of storing a Gabion (buried shelter) which had been flooded.
An investigation in searching the causes of death had been opened. The medico-judicial unit of Saint-Lô has carried out blood tests on the deceased. They confirmed the initial trail of poisoning.
-The two hunters used a motorbike to evacuate the water from the gabion but the gases emitted by the heat engine machine had no escape and killed them. “The rates of this gas raised in their blood were very high, ten times higher than the lethal,” notes the prosecutor.
