Paul George and the Sixers bring down Cleveland!
– Still without Joel Embiidabsent for his 10th consecutive match because of his knee, the Philadelphia Sixers achieved a small feat by dominating the Cleveland Cavaliers (132-129). Despite a rotation reduced to only 8 players, the 76ers were carried by the duo Paul George (30 points) – Tyrese Maxey (29 points).
Around the two men, the Philadelphia collective also functioned with the impacts of Kelly Oubre Jr (22 points), Justin Edwards (15 points), d’Eric Gordon (15 points) and of course Guerschon Yabusele (12 points, 13 rebounds).
Even clumsy (4/12), the Frenchman, present in the 5 major, brought his energy. But opposite, the Cavs had a response. Thanks to Donovan Mitchell (37 points) and above all You Jerome (33 points – career record -), they even had control of the debates (+6) 6 minutes from the end.
But the 76ers went a decisive 13-0! And they thus ended a series of 7 consecutive defeats by offering themselves the best team in the East.

The Grizzlies and the Blazers continue
– Firmly established in the top places in the West, the Memphis Grizzlies scored a 5th consecutive victory against the New Orleans Pelicans (139-126). Author of 15 of his 29 points in the third quarter, Jaren Jackson Jr made the difference for his team.
-However, at the break, it was the Pelicans who had the match in hand. Dejounte Murray (26 points), CJ McCollum (22 points) or Trey Murphy III (22 points) allowed New Orleans to have a 9-point lead.
But with Jackson Jr, but also Luke Kennard (27 points) et Desmond Bane (20 points, 14 assists), the Grizzlies seriously accelerated the tempo to win. A Memphis-New Orleans duel without the first two choices of the 2019 Draft, Ja Morant et Zion Williamsonboth absent.
– The best series in the West behind Memphis? There are the Denver Nuggets… and the Portland Trail Blazers! The Oregon franchise recorded a 4th success in a row by beating the Charlotte Hornets (102-97).
With 17 of his 27 points after the break, Anfernee Simons allowed his team to force the decision. Even decimated, the Hornets, without LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller or even Miles Bridgesresisted thanks to Nick Smith Jr (17 points) et Josh Okogie (16 points). Coming off the bench, the French Moussa Diabaté had an impact over 21 minutes: 6 points and 6 rebounds.
But well supported by Jerami Grant (22 points) et Deni Avdija (18 points), Simons initiated a 7-0 in the money-time to make the difference.
