Hamas asks the Red Cross to prepare for the transfer of hostages

AA / ankara / Ikram Kouachi

The International Committee of the Red Cross received a Hamas call on Saturday to go to the transfer point of Gaza, where four Israeli hostages must be released, reports the Israeli channel 12.

An anadolu correspondent said that in the early hours of the morning, a convoy of the International Committee of the Red Cross left for the passage post of Kerem Shalom, located in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The convoy consisted of several Red Cross vehicles, including a bus that can transport between 20 and 25 people.

However, no official press release has yet been published by the Red Cross.

Witnesses told Anadolu that dozens of members of the Al-Qassam brigades and Al-Quds brigades were deployed in Palestine Place in Gaza, alongside thousands of Palestinians, in preparation for the delivery of Israeli hostages.

In addition, the hostages of the hostages have been informed that the liberation should take place around 10:00 am GMT, according to the Israeli channel 13.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, who came into force on Sunday, paused the devastating attack of Israel on Gaza, which, since October 7, 2023, has made more than 47,000 Palestinian victims, the majority of which were women and children.

The three -phase agreement provides for an exchange of prisoners and an prolonged truce, aimed at lasting peace and the withdrawal of the Israeli Gaza forces.

The attack left Gaza in ruins, its displaced, hungry and vulnerable inhabitants.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest mandates last November against Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu and his former Yoav Gallant Defense Minister for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also prosecuted for genocide before the International Court of Justice because of his war against the enclave.
