Real Madrid wins the match of extremes against the bottom of La Liga, Valladolid, with a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappé.
Real Madrid starters
Thibaut Courtois (6/10) : Only parades for a concentrated Belgian goalkeeper, who finally achieves a clean sheet. His last one was in Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory against Girona.
Raúl Asencio (7/10) : Physically impressive and impeccable in attitude, the Asencio file is becoming very serious. Lined up as a right-back tonight, he was perfect. With real potential like Nacho, he is increasingly asserting himself as a starter in the making.
Aurélien Tchouaméni (6/10) : Repositioned once again in central defense, the Frenchman delivered a solid match.
Antonio Rüdiger (7/10) : Despite a huge bandage on his left thigh, Rüdiger was impregnable in the duels, clean in the restart and even dangerous on long shots. The German just ate Valladolid’s offensives.
Fran Garcia (6/10) : Fran García is more relevant than Ferland Mendy against a low block like that of Valladolid, and this match is convincing proof.
Federico Valverde (7/10) : As Ancelotti says, Valverde is the most complete player on the planet. We understand why the Italian coach appreciates him so much in midfield: he plugs all the holes and is effective with the ball in the last 30 meters.
Dani Ceballos (7/10) : Continuity. Ceballos continues to impress Real Madrid fans and Spain with his recent performances.
Jude Bellingham (8/10) : Jude Bellingham exchanged his goalscorer costume for an even larger, brighter costume: that of the maestro, the connector of Real Madrid.
Brahim Díaz (4/10) : All the offensive play was concentrated on the left, and even Asensio was more prominent than Brahim on the right lane. The Moroccan gave the impression that he was too much and that the offensive trio Bellingham-Rodrygo-Mbappé did not need him to shine and perform.
-Rodrygo (7/10) : Less visible than in his last matches, he was still impactful thanks to his quick combinations with Mbappé and his fluid connection with Bellingham.
Kylian Mbappé (9/10) : A complete number 9 match: on the move, 1v1s, back-to-goal play, throw-ins and finishing. Scorer in transition or in attack placed. In short, you’re not happy, triplet. Man of the match.
Coach’s note:
Carlo Ancelotti (4/10) : A frustrating starting lineup, with Asencio aligned at right back and Tchouaméni in central defense. Questionable choices on the part of the Italian coach, who does not put his players in the best position. His team once again started the match very poorly, a recurring problem which is starting to take its toll.
