Cycling. Grand Prix Castellon – Antonio Morgado overpowering, Champoussin on the podium

Following the resumption of the European calendar on the Classic Camp de Morvedre, the competition continued in Spain with the second of the Ceramic Route – Grand Prix Castellon. After a steep 171.7 km course, the runners offered us a suspenseful and spectacular finale, with the impressive victory of the young Antonio Morgado ! Winner in his first race of the season, the PortugueseUAE Team Emirates XRG achieved a mammoth sprint in the final steep climb (last 250 meters at 12% average) to sprint a group of six strong men who had left the peloton following the rise of the Collado de Ayodar (5 km at 4.4%), located 10 kilometers from the goal. Morgado confirms his enormous potential at 20 years old and is ahead of the Uruguayan on the line Eric Antonio Fagúndez (Burgos Burpellet BH)… and the French Clement Champoussinwho begins his adventure XDS Astana Team with a podium.
