Death of a baby after serious mistreatment near Orleans: parents recognized guilty and condemned

At the end of four days of trial, Taylona’s parents, who died in the fall of 2022 of serious mistreatment, were found guilty by the Loiret Assize Court. The verdict was rendered shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, January 23.

The father, Théo Pasquale, had admitted having slapped and shaken the infant two months on the day of October 21, 2022, at the couple’s home, in Meung-sur-Loire. In the evening, the baby had been hospitalized in critical condition at the CHU d’Orléans, before being sedated because it is constantly the victim of convulsions. His death was finally pronounced on November 1, 2022.

Voluntary violence that led to death without intention to give it for which Théo Pasquale was sentenced to fifteen years in criminal imprisonment.

The 23-year-old was also found guilty of violence, having extended from birth to the death of the newborn, facts they did not recognize.
