The anger of Leganés supporters against the prices of tickets for the match against Real Madrid

As their Copa del Rey quarter-final at home against Real Madrid approaches, Leganés is facing a protest movement from its own supporters.

The subject of the dispute concerns the price of the tickets. This national cup match is not included in the subscription offer put in place by the club. Therefore, all subscribers who wish to attend the match will have to purchase a ticket. The club has communicated its pricing policy for this match.

Members will have to pay between 24 and 39 euros, indicates the daily AS. A decision against which some supporters are outraged. They see behind this price a desire on the part of leaders to make money which would mechanically favor the wealthiest.

However, the club would offer its fans a reduction of 18 euros for any jersey purchased on the club’s online store. This promotion will be valid until the day of the match, indicates AS.

If Leganés supporters do not wish to pay the minimum price of 24 euros which could go up to 39 depending on their positioning, the places would then be put on sale to the general public.

These seats could therefore be acquired by Real Madrid supporters at a price probably lower than that for a match at the Santiago Bernabéu.

During Real Madrid’s last visit to Butarque in the Copa del Rey, season ticket holders benefited from an advantageous package with a single price of 15 euros. Entrance was free for children under 12 years old.

The anger of Leganés supporters over the price of tickets is part of a more global trend since members were already railing against the increase in subscriptions, the removal of the loyalty discount and the increase in the price of visiting the stadium.
