From simple to double, the price per tax horse to register a vehicle is elastic in France. And, in this matter, certain regions are not pulling out all the stops this year.
The amount of the tax horse has evolved in a large number of French regions at the start of 2025. And these are four regions which will have the highest price in this area in 2025. €60 per tax horse, this is now the price that must be paid since January 1, 2025 in Normandy for the registration of a vehicle subject to it – excluding other taxes and fees inherent to the registration of a registration document in France.
Martinique and Mayotte
An amount of this regional tax allowing obtaining a registration document set at €60 since the start of this year, which is now also found in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Then, from February 1, 2025, it will be the turn of the Grand Est and Brittany regions to display this amount per tax horse of €60i.e. the maximum amount authorized by the Tax Code on goods and services. Finally, note that on the contrary, it is in Martinique and Mayotte that the price per fiscal horse is the cheapest in France in 2025: €30.
New 2025 prices for regional vehicle registration tax:
Since January 1 (vs. 2024)
- In the Normandy region: from 46 to 60€
- In the Centre-Val de Loire region: from 55 to 60€
- In the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region: from €51.20 to €59
- In the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region: from 45 to 53€
- In Corsica: from €27 to €43.
From February 1, 2025:
-- In the Brittany region: from 55 to 60€
- In the Grand Est: from 48 to 60€
- In Reunion: from €51 to €57.
