While an NVIDIA event was being held in South Korea, a very simple question was asked to the brand’s engineers: “ Has the problem encountered, particularly on the GeForce RTX 4090, been resolved on the RTX 5090? »
Relayed by our colleagues from QuasarZonethen VideoCardzhere is the response from the NVIDIA representative: “ Such issues should not arise with the RTX 5090. At the time, in response to these issues, changes were made to the connectors, and after two years we believe these concerns have been resolved. »
NVIDIA has indeed had plenty of time to find solutions, and the installation of a new connector no longer seems to pose a problem. Between the cable which fits better and the color system put in place by the manufacturers, there hasn’t been a problem with melting for a while now. No reason for this to happen again.
