Jeanmonnot and the fight for the general
While 180 points are at stake in Antholz, Lou Jeanmonnot is 142 points behind Preuss, overall leader. This step can therefore be a turning point. The Frenchwoman can get back on track with the German. Or the latter will further increase its lead and take a real option.
The Olympics in my head
Antholz will be the site of the biathlon during the 2026 Olympic Games. It has also undergone work and in particular a modification of the track. In the final, it now passes behind the shooting range (like in Oslo) and offers a much longer final straight. We will therefore have to adapt if a race has to be decided in a sprint, like the pursuit of the 2020 Worlds between Émilien Jacquelin and Johannes Boe. Several biathletes trained on the future Olympic site this summer, including Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Eric Perrot on the Blues side.
