Rockets face tough challenge against Cavaliers in NBA clash

The Houston Rockets are set to face a tough challenge today as they host the Cleveland Cavaliers, currently the NBA’s flagship team this season.

Positioned in second place in the Western Conference, the Rockets are coming off an unexpected defeat against the Detroit Pistons, losing 96-107 on Monday, despite a series of six victories in their last seven games.

Head coach Ime Udoka remains optimistic about a turnaround, notably thanks to the return to form of sharpshooter Jalen Green, named Player of the Week last week, although he encountered difficulties against the Pistons.

During this promising period, Green averaged 32.5 points on an impressive 60.6% shooting percentage, while making 25 of 26 free throws. However, he struggled in the game against Detroit, not scoring only 13 points on 21 attempts and committing five turnovers.

For their part, the Cavaliers recently dominated the Phoenix Suns with a score of 118-92, even without the absence of Evan Mobley (calf) and Caris LeVert (wrist), maintaining a comfortable lead at the top of the Eastern Conference .

Other games scheduled for Wednesday include the Detroit Pistons taking on the Atlanta Hawks, the Phoenix Suns taking on the Brooklyn Nets, the Minnesota Timberwolves taking on the Dallas Mavericks, the Charlotte Hornets taking on the Memphis Grizzlies, and the visiting Milwaukee Bucks with the New Pelicans.

In addition, clashes are also scheduled between the Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Golden State Warriors against the Sacramento Kings, and the Boston Celtics against the Los Angeles Clippers.
