Our take on the Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra.
AI, finally something promising?
Samsung has (finally) integrated AI features that are a little more relevant and less gadget than in the past. Although imperfect at the time of writing these lines, these innovations show a real desire for improvement on the part of the brand. The idea of using AI to manage the phone further is amazing. For example, you can ask the phone to add the next Real Madrid matches to the calendar or to modify settings.
What seems most promising to me is the future ability of the phone to automatically choose the AI or app best suited to our requestslike selecting a streaming service based on our habits. Despite a few hiccups, these additions promise to be useful and open up new perspectives.
Rise in power of the photo sensor
The new video editing options, such as AI noise removal, are interesting. Although they will not concern everyone, they deserve to be tested in depth. On the photo side, the 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor on the Ultra is a real asset. Personally, this is a feature that could convince me to buy it, especially since ultra-wide-angle photos are often very popular.
The limits of standard models
For the S25 and S25+, the new features are more subtle. Apart from the processor update, which promises efficiency and autonomy, the changes seem modest. If I had a limited budget, I still don’t see enough reasons to prefer an S25 over an S24. A thorough test will confirm or not these first impressions.
I’ll see you in a few weeks for my complete test on the Samsung Galaxy S25.
