Where to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra at the best prices?

For the launch until February 7, pre-orders offer several things. First of all, the “twice as much storage” operation is reinstated by Samsung. So you can have, for example, a Galaxy S25 with 512 GB of storage for the price of 256 GB.

Samsung Galaxy S25

Finally, as usual, the Ultra model of this new Samsung Galaxy S25 series offers three storage capacities: 256 GB for 1,469 euros, 512 GB for 1,589 euros and 1 TB for 1,829 euros.

Galaxy AI at the heart of the experience with One UI 7

Before talking to you about the hardware (product), we will first look at the software (software). And it’s not necessarily because the new hardware features are few in number, but it’s because they are much more interesting in terms of the AI-shielded interface. Samsung had already introduced some functions with version 6 of its Android overlay, but it is clear that it wants to go even further with One UI 7, based on Android 15.

Roughly speaking, if it was previously more tedious to use artificial intelligence on your Samsung smartphone, this will be made much easier with the help of a hub. This brings together all the functions and is based on Gemini Live, all accessible simply by holding the power button, or by clicking on the three stars of the Galaxy AI icon.

On the program, we first find Cross App, the most telling of the functions. It allows you to take into account different sources (internet or installed applications) to respond to your request. Galaxy S25 Ultra: what’s new?

Ultra models are generally excellent smartphones, it is not for nothing that the Galaxy S24 Ultra was voted best smartphone of 2024 at the Frandroid Awards. Samsung has therefore further refined its excellent premium recipe, and at first glance, this begins with better handling.

Omar can attest to this, since he has been using the S24 Ultra for a year now, and mainly complains about the angular edges which hurt his fingers or the stylus drawer which sometimes opens by itself in the pocket. Well, these two problems seem to be solved with, on the one hand, well rounded edges as Apple can do with its iPhones, and, on the other hand, better integration of the stylus when it is stored.

Even better, the screen (which is, however, on paper still the same as the S24 Ultra) goes from 6.8 to 6.9 inches without becoming bulkier. In fact, its dimensions are now 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, compared to 162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm. It therefore loses a little in width and thickness to gain a little in height. In addition, it is lighter on the scale with 218 g instead of 232.

Concerning the new features of the technical sheet, we still move on to a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (engraved in 3 nm) which promises excellent performance while still being more energy efficient. No more Exynos which makes your fingers hot, especially since this year the steam chamber is 40% larger, to better dissipate heat. And for photos, the ultra-wide-angle sensor increases to 50 megapixels. The rest is the same as last year.

Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus: what are the differences?

As before, the hardware changes are fairly minor. Obviously, both the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Plus integrate the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, but the photo, battery and screen parts are unchanged compared to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus.

Between these two smartphones, it’s mainly a question of whether you want a compact smartphone (6.2 inches) with just decent battery life (4,000 mAh) or a smartphone with a larger screen (6.8 inches) and a longer battery life (4,900 mAh). Also, fast charging is 25 W for the first and 45 W for the second. As for wireless charging, it is 10W in both cases.
