The LFP has unveiled the partial TV programming for the 21st day of Ligue 1, which will see PSG host AS Monaco. A match which will be played between the round of 16 of the Coupe de France against Le Mans and a possible Champions League play-off first leg.
The date of the third clash of the season between PSG and AS Monaco was set this Wednesday by the LFP, which unveiled the partial TV programming for the 21st day of Ligue 1. The PSG/Monaco match was thus scheduled for Friday February 7 and the match will take place from 9:05 p.m.. In terms of broadcasting, it will be broadcast live and exclusively on DAZN.
The LFP did not choose this date of Friday February 7 at random since PSG and AS Monaco could be affected by the Champions League play-offs, the first legs of which will be played on Tuesday February 11 or Wednesday February 12. If PSG qualifies for the play-offs, they will have between 4 and 5 days to prepare for their Champions League round of 16 first leg.
PSG will play Monaco 4 to 5 days before the Champions League play-off first leg
With currently 13 points and +3 goal average, AS Monaco is assured of at least a play-off and can even still hope to finish in the Top 8, which would allow it to not play two additional matches in February. This PSG/Monaco will also be played three days after PSG’s 8th final of the Coupe de France at Le Mans. A match which will be broadcast unencrypted on France 2, as well as on beIN Sports 1.
-Note that regarding the programming of the 21st day of Ligue 1, the LFP is still waiting to know the outcome of the championship phase of the Champions League to schedule the matches of Lille (against Le Havre) and Brest (in Nantes) . The two clubs also have 13 points in the Champions League, like Monaco, and are guaranteed to be at least play-offs.
If Lille and Brest are play-offs, they will play their match on the 21st day of Ligue 1 on Friday February 7 at 7 p.m. If, on the other hand, they are directly qualified for the round of 16, they will play their Ligue 1 match on Saturday February 8 at 7 p.m.
