Fabio Quartararo published some photos of his ride on the Aspar circuit, which Marc Marquez made the headlines 10 days ago…
In 2022, Jorge Martínez “Aspar” acquired the Guadassuar circuit, which is now called Aspar Circuit, with a group of investors including Juan Roig, banker Paul Gomero and Grupo Ática.
Located about twenty kilometers south of Valencia, in a region which has been at the heart of urban racing in Spain, the infrastructure was until now called Circuit de la Ribera and had been closed since 2019, following numerous disagreements. between the municipality and the former owner.
The 350,000 square meter complex is divided into four areas, a main circuit of 2,200 meters, a karting circuit of 850 meters, a dirt track of 1,100 meters, an asphalt surface of 18,000 meters for Aspar KSB Sport, and even a museum dedicated to the quadruple world champion in 80 and 125cc, author of a double in 1988.
Open since May 15, 2024, the infrastructure was inaugurated a week later in the presence of some officials from the speed motorcycle competition. Three months later, the track began to receive visits from prestigious names, such as Jaume Masia et David Alonsobut above all Marc Marquez et Alex Marquez on their “old” Honda CBR 600 (!).
-An incongruity repaired in January of this year, when the two brothers returned to the track on Panigales, alongside Jorge Martin.
Ten days later, it was the turn of Fabio Quartararo to broadcast some photos of his ride on the Valencian track, riding a very nicely decorated Yamaha R6. We know the Frenchman is not very fond of inter-season training on production motorcycles, but a few days before the test in Sepang, or even a shakedown if our hypothesis was verifiedthis recovery was undoubtedly welcome…
