Haute-Loire. Explosion of a house in Mazeyrat-d’Allier: the owner died

This is very sad news which was confirmed to the newspaper Progress by the mayor of Mazeyrat-d’Allier, Philippe Molherat.

On December 29, the explosion of a house located on Place du Fournil in Rougeac was fatal to the 54-year-old owner of the premises. 80% burned and transported in serious condition to the burn center at the Édouard-Herriot hospital in Lyon, he finally succumbed to his injuries last week.

The causes of the accident still unclear, an investigation underway

The causes of the explosion which occurred around 8:30 p.m. still remain unknown. The ongoing gendarmerie investigation should make it possible to see more clearly the tragic event which greatly shocked local residents.
