Australian Open > “Between Sinner and De Minaur, there is no match. It was even surprising to see to what extent the Australian was forced to overplay and had no sort of solution”, comments Frédéric Verdier

Unplayable this Tuesday on the Rod Laver Arena, during the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, Jannik Sinner beat Alex de Minaur for the tenth time in as many confrontations against the Australian.

On the set ofEurosport after the match, journalist Frédéric Verdier insisted on the gap between the two players.

“Sinner’s health raised questions (after the match against Rune, editor’s note). We felt that if he was weakened, things could happen. But he was able to recover, he slept a lot, he arrived as fresh as a roach. And we can clearly see that when he is well rested, 100% physically, and in addition with a cool atmosphere in terms of temperature, there is no photo. It was even surprising to see how much De Minaur was forced to overplay and had no sort of solution. »
