“I inform you that I want to take a step back in my commitment to the club and not spend an extra year at its head. Everything is there for a good transition. The committee meeting will decide who will now serve as president. Since March 2022, I have enjoyed leading this wonderful association, surrounded by exciting and dedicated people. »
By leaving the presidency vacant, Charles Bigot does not give up serving the club. The assembly also showed its recognition to him, as part of the statutory renewal by thirds of the committee, by unanimously keeping him within the management team for the 2025 financial year.
More and more people under 10 years old
Approved without reservation, the accounting balance sheet presented by Jean-Marc Stalder reflects the good financial health of the association. The positive result generated fuels the reserves, reinforcing the club’s intention to have recourse at least to territorial subsidies, always appreciated but uncertain by nature.
The moral report shows a club which is moving forward. The number of licensees, already growing by 8% last year, will increase further in 2024 to reach 408 units, 43% of which are women.
Note the increase in membership among young practitioners whose quota (53%) now exceeds that of adults with a spectacular increase of 33% among those under 10 years old.
On a sporting level, all the lights are green. Simply consult the association’s website to take stock of the titles, podiums, records and exploits achieved by LA39 athletes.

Renowned event seeks organizers
On the program of 2025 events, the surprise came from the absence of the flagship race, Les 10 de Lons. A situation regretted by Antoine Jaillet on behalf of the municipality and the urban community, as by Cyril Bréro, vice-president of the departmental council. However, elected officials note with satisfaction the return of the event to the 2026 calendar and applaud the club’s excellent results.
The only downside to the encouraging picture painted by Charles Bigot lies in the lack of volunteers, who are also particularly dedicated and reliable, ready to take on the role of organizer of a major event. The deprogramming of the Lons 10 finds its explanation here. Filling this gap, the new steering committee has made it a major objective for the 2025 financial year.
