The Borussia Dortmund announced this Wednesday the dismissal of its coach, Nuri Sahin. The move comes after a series of disappointing results, including the 2-1 defeat to FC Bologna in Champions League.

“Borussia Dortmund and Nuri Şahin part ways with immediate effect”the club said in a press release. The former midfielder BVBwho took the reins of the team at the start of the season, failed to turn things around.
Rumors concerning a possible dismissal of Nuri Şahin had been circulating for several days. Supporters and observers of the club were increasingly critical of the Turkish technician, whose results did not live up to expectations.
