The defeat suffered on the Bologna pitch in the Champions League this Tuesday evening was one too many. Nuri Sahin is no longer the coach of Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund is completely failing its season. In the Bundesliga, the Ruhr club only occupies tenth place and is already twenty (!) lengths behind Bayern Munich.
In the Champions League, the situation is not much better for the Borussen, still beaten on the Bologna pitch this Tuesday evening (2-1). Dortmund are 13th in the league stage, with 12 points, and will still see the play-offs.
The results, however, remain unacceptable for a Borussia Dortmund team supposed to play at the top in Germany, and eliminated from the Cup since the 1/16 finals and its defeat at Wolfsburg.
-This Wednesday morning, we learned that the defeat in Bologna was Nuri Sahin’s last on the BVB bench. The Turkish coach is fired, according to the BILD and the Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
This therefore means the arrival of a new coach for Julien Duranville, who played the first 64 games of the defeat in Bologna before being replaced by Karim Adeyemi. Duranville left their partners at 0-1, before seeing the Italians score two goals in quick succession, twenty minutes from time.
