Liverpool will secure their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League if the Reds avoid defeat against Lille on Tuesday evening.
The Arne Slot-led side have a perfect record of six wins from six matches in Europe this season and need just one point to automatically advance to the first qualifying round. Liverpool remain the only team to have a 100% record in the competition, having conceded just one goal.
Lille arrive at Anfield having exceeded expectations in Europe this season. Currently eighth in the table, the Ligue 1 club have beaten Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the competition this year.
Bruno Génésio’s side will hope to maintain a place in the top eight and automatically progress to the round of 16, ahead of their penultimate match against the Champions League leaders.

-Arne Slot could give several of his key players a rest with qualification almost assured. Darwin Nunez will be hoping for a chance to start after his heroic performances last weekend, where he scored twice in injury time in Liverpool’s 2-0 Premier League win over Brentford.
Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa have also shone on their debuts and could feature in the starting XI, with Joe Gomez the only confirmed absentee. The defender will be unavailable until February.
