Trump, President Again, Promises “End of America’s Decline”

Donald Trump’s first meal as 47e President of the United States stood at around 1 p.m. at the official luncheon organized by the Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. On the menu, a three-course service, reports Newsweek.

Starter: Chesapeake Bay crab cakes accompanied by tomato tartare, bay leaf sauce, marinated vegetables, romanesco, dill and chive oil. As a main course, the 200 guests were served an Omaha Angus ribeye steak, garnished with broccoli, carrots with herbs and a potato gratin. As for dessert, it was a terrine of Minnesota apple ice cream.

Guests were greeted with a glass of New Mexico sparkling wine, then the rest of the menu was paired with wine. In order: a Chardonnay from Monticello, Virginia, a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California, and a natural sparkling blend from Sonoma County, California.

The official luncheon of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies has been a tradition since 1953 and the inauguration of Dwight D. Eisenhower, the committee recalls on its website.
