LONDON – Chelsea finally ended their winless run in the Premier League with a 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening. The Blues, in difficulty in recent weeks, managed to score thanks to defender Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Cucurella and winger Noni Madueke.
In a crucial match for Chelsea’s ambitions to secure a place in the next Champions League season, they opened the scoring in the 24th minute. Adarabioyo found the back of the net with a calm finish from close range. However, the hosts’ joy was short-lived as goalkeeper Robert Sanchez made a costly mistake just before half-time. He gave away a corner, allowing Matt Doherty to equalize for the visitors, who are battling relegation.
