Cinémas Guzzo announces the permanent closure of two of its branches: the Méga-Plex Saint-Jean 12 and the Méga-Plex Marché Central 18, as of today, January 20, 2025.
In a press release, the family business explains that this decision, described as extremely difficult, is necessary to ensure its sustainability, following the challenges imposed by the global health crisis in recent years. “And this, despite all the efforts made by the team and our collaborators to find solutions,” continues Cinémas Guzzo.
For several months, the company has been in the news due to financial problems. In Saint-Jean, a legal proceeding has been underway since July due to non-payment of rent.
