Influence marketing. YouTuber MrBeast always sets himself challenges, each crazier than the last, with ever more tempting rewards for the participants. Recently, he even expressed the idea that he could buy the social network TikTok, to avoid being banned. Jimmy Donaldson, his real name, likes a challenge. So, when Prime Video asked him to imagine his own show, he didn’t think for a single second.

Since December 19, the Beast Games series has been broadcast on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service. On this occasion, the content creator even broadcast the first episode for free live on Twitch. Then, an episode will be broadcast every week until Thursday February 13. While the first edition of Beast Games is still being broadcast, Prime Video has revealed some impressive numbers on the program.

On X, MrBeast has already given a taste of the show’s production costs. As a reminder, in Beast Games, 1000 participants compete through games to try to win the sum of 5 million dollars. To do this, the YouTuber thought big, and built an entire city, Beast City, that could accommodate 500 participants. This village cost him 14 million dollars. Now it’s Prime Video’s turn to reveal behind the scenes of this program:

  • Since December 19, in 33 days of viewership, Beast Games has accumulated 50 million viewers.
  • Half of the audience is outside the US, with strong viewing in India, the UK and Mexico.
  • The show rose to first place among the most viewed series on Prime Video for around ten days. It is even the most watched unscripted series on the streaming platform.
