While for many, the Mitsubishi Outlander simply comes in two variants, petrol and PHEV, Mitsubishi considers the two to be two different products. As proof, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, a plug-in hybrid, does not follow the same path in terms of redesign and attention as its gasoline-only equivalent.
While the Outlander PHEV benefited from a recent redesign, it’s this year that the regular 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander arrives with a few tweaks. Mitsubishi is giving it a mid-cycle redesign to keep it competitive with the big names in the compact SUV segment, including the Subaru Forester, the Mazda CX-5, the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4.
If Mitsubishi recently announced the details of the changes made to the 2025 Outlander, the Japanese manufacturer has this time revealed its prices for Canada. The model will be sold at a base price of $35,598 (without freight and PDI included), which represents an increase of $1,000 compared to 2024.

Under the hood, the 2025 Outlander still offers a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that develops 181 horsepower, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). All six versions feature Mitsubishi’s AWC Super All-Wheel Control system.
On board, the vehicle benefits from several changes including a new redesigned center console. Audiophiles will appreciate the new Yamaha audio system, a first collaboration with a mainstream automobile manufacturer.
