Servette – St-Gall 1-1 (0-0). Match notes – Les Enfants du Servette

Mall (6) : Decisive in the 14th minute by going out at the feet of the St. Gall striker to avoid opening the score, he remained focused throughout the match. Powerless on the 0-1 in the 46th minute.

Basics (6) : He tried to bring the surplus in the middle of the field in the first half but without success. After the break, we saw him split with Kutesa on the left side and finally bring danger to the opposing camp.

Severin (6.5): Solid match from our number 19 who is always strong in duels but who struggled a few times against the liveliness of the St. Gallen attackers.

Rust (7.5): The boss strikes again! With a nice volley from the flat of the right foot from a corner from Cognat (69th) for the equalizer. He could even have scored a double if his header in the 78th minute had found Zigi’s goal.

Tsunemoto (3) : Where did our right side go??? Saturday evening his overall performance was worrying (bad placement and no offensive contribution)…Keigo pull yourself together, we need to find our Samurai! ????????

Ondoua (3) : Also, what has been happening to our general for the past 3 months? ???? Slow, bad at restarting and in his choices on the pitch, he must quickly question himself and show more. Go Gaël!

Antunes (7): Placed lower on the pitch (next to Ondoua), he demonstrated that he is an essential part of the team. Great ball lifts and above-average technical finesse. We want to see him even more decisive against the opposing goal.

Torture (7) : Apparently ill, Derek will have shown that we need him for this 2nd round and that we must not let him go! Very active, he made his opponent dizzy and sent very good crosses, unfortunately not converted by his teammates…

Stevanovic (7) : He almost did everything on Saturday evening, apart from finishing on his three big chances (32nd, 68th and 79th). We are counting on him to make up for it next Saturday at Yverdon.

Relatives (7) : Placed in support of Crivelli, he had more difficulty during the first 45 minutes touching few balls. On the other hand, his second half was much better. He was able to distribute the game, animate the Garnet offensives and take almost all the set pieces including the one which allowed Rouiller to equalize.

-

Crivelli (6) : He fought well, tried to play back but he was sometimes too far from the opponent’s 16 meters. He needs another striker who plays with him to perform better.

Magnin (6.5): He replaced Ondoua in the 67th minute. Théo brought punch to midfield as soon as he came on. He still has to erase some bad choices he made with the ball.

Ouattara (6.5) : He replaced Antunes in the 67th. Very impactful on his right lane, he hurt the St. Gall defense which was not far from cracking at the end of the match.

Guillemenot (6) : He replaced Crivelli in the 76th minute. Good entry from our number 21 who showed desire and who could have been decisive with his cross behind the 87th, deflected by an opposing defender right next to Zigi’s post…

Lions (-) : He replaced Kutesa in the 92nd…Played too little to be noted

Kanagasingam (2): Always late, we see him running, running and running, but never in the rhythm of the action. In addition, these decisions are sometimes incomprehensible. The VAR once again forgets an opposing handball in the penalty area which should logically have resulted in a penalty for the Garnet… Nothing personal against this referee, but I have never seen him control a match…

Häberli (4) : Coaching a little late. Despite his desire to do well, we don’t really have the impression that our strong man on the bench has mastered his subject. It’s up to him to prove us wrong during the next deadlines…

The match (5): A very average first period, a better second, a reaction, but without real control. The terrain does not explain everything. Everyone had to do more as this St. Gallen was more than takeable…
