Marius Trésor: “If the standing ovation is a good memory? Yes (smile). It was my last one in real life with the jersey”

During an interview for the show The Legends Studio on
Europe 1, Marius Trésor, former defender and leader of Girondins de spoke about his life today, when he has just celebrated his 75th birthday.

« My life today? A peaceful, retired life. From time to time I travel with Variété. Not long ago we were in Kinshasa to play a charity match for displaced children. These are moments that I love. I enjoyed when we played the match with the President of the Republic. I see a lot of players that I met again, if only in Bordeaux, with Souleymane Diawara and all those boys, Gigi who still plays with Variété. Spending these moments with these boys is magnificent. »

Then he also returned to the 100th anniversary match which took place in Lescure a few months ago. A great memory.

« If the standing ovation is a good memory? Yes (smile). I don’t know how it will go in Guadeloupe, but it was my last one in real life with the Bordeaux jersey. To see all these boys… With Gigi we had extraordinary times, when Zidane was here it was also fantastic. I remember, his car was registered WW so at that time you couldn’t buy stickers, but as we had bought a tobacconist, he came with his registration card to get his sticker. Unfortunately I couldn’t. There was Gourcuff too… These are moments that will remain engraved. »
