Weather: gray and mist for “Blue Monday” and slippery conditions this Monday morning

The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) issued a new yellow warning overnight from Sunday to Monday for slippery conditions across almost the entire territory. The warning comes into effect from 00:00 on Monday and lasts until 11:00.

Monday morning, “freezing fog may be present and therefore, it will be necessary to be vigilant regarding local patches of frost“, warns the MRI. The institute also forecasts light local precipitation that could freeze to the ground.

The MRI also forecasts mostly gray and foggy weather. During the day, however, there will be clearings from the south of the Sambre et Meuse furrow. The maxima will be between 0 and 4 degrees, according to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM).

“Blue Monday” is the least happy day of the year. The weather will initially be gray in most regions with a risk of mist or fog (freezing) as well as light winter precipitation. During the day, clearings will appear from the south of the Sambre et Meuse furrow. However, low clouds may stay longer in certain regions.
