Marcel Bonin has passed away

Former Montreal Canadiens player Marcel Bonin passed away this Sunday morning. It was his daughter, Manon, who made the announcement on social networks.

Originally from Joliette, Mr. Bonin won the Stanley Cup four times during his career, including three with the Montreal Canadiens.

It is reported that the 93-year-old was the oldest member of the Montreal Canadiens. This one was nicknamed the Joliette bear. He made his mark in the history of the National Hockey League for nine seasons.

In addition to his athletic career, Mr. Bonin has also made an impact on the community, as he has worked as a police officer and a drug interventionist in schools.
