Motorcycle accident on the A9, between Montpellier and Nîmes: one dead and one seriously injured

The Gard firefighters intervened this Sunday for a traffic accident on the A9 motorway, involving a Motorcycle with two people (the driver and his passenger). The accident occurred in the Montpellier Orange direction between the
municipalities of Villetelle (34) and Gallargues-Le-Montueux (30).

He was 24 years old

Arriving quickly on the scene, emergency services from Gard and Hérault could only note the death of the first victim, a 24-year-old man. The second victim, a 26-year-old man, was treated by firefighters supported by a medical team and transported to Carémeau University Hospital in serious condition.

Traffic in the Montpellier-Orange direction was completely cut off between 8:30 a.m. and 8:50 a.m., then was gradually restored.
