Brentford manager Thomas Frank has praised Liverpool after his side’s 2-0 defeat to the Reds, saying they are the “best team in the world”.
It was a difficult afternoon for Liverpool against a stubborn Brentford, but after the match Frank was full of praise for the Championship leaders.
“Overall it was a commendable performance against a fantastic Liverpool team who I consider to be the best in the Premier League,” commented Frank.
“Of course they are in first place in the table, which is hardly surprising, but I would argue that they could also be the best team in the world right now.”
Reflecting on recent matches, he added: “We’ve just faced City and Arsenal, as well as Liverpool, in quick succession, and I think Liverpool are a level above the other two at the moment. They are more complete in all phases of the game.”

As the match approached injury time, Liverpool fans were understandably anxious, fearing that two points would slip away from them due to missed chances, allowing Arsenal to benefit from the situation. However, Darwin Núñez’s decisive goals could prove vital to the Reds’ season.
