Connor McDavid will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety.
The Edmonton Oilers center could be penalized for a double-check to the head of Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland on Saturday.
It has not yet been determined when this hearing will take place.
-The incident occurred at 19:57 of the third period in the Oilers’ 3-2 loss at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. McDavid received a match penalty on the sequence.
The following infraction will be studied to determine if an additional sanction is necessary: double failure. However, the Department of Player Safety reserves the right to make adjustments to these violations after evaluating the sequence.
