According to reports, Viktor Gyökeres, the talented striker of Sporting Lisbon, has made an important decision regarding his future, and it seems that FC Barcelona can benefit from this choice.
Gyökeres, who is attracting interest from several major European clubs, including the Catalans, is seen as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski. However, it appears that the Swedish striker’s preferred destination would be Manchester United, where he could reunite with his mentor, Ruben Amorim. The Sun reports that Gyökeres could consider a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Currently, Gyökeres has a release clause set at 100 million euros. Nonetheless, given his impressive performance of 32 goals in 30 games this season, he is expected to be moved for around €80 million by the summer of 2025.

Gyökeres’ move to Manchester United could also have implications for Barcelona, particularly regarding their interest in Marcus Rashford. The English striker, who is linked with a potential departure, seems to favor a transfer to the Catalan club. However, Barcelona can only consider getting him back on loan, which would require significant salary support from United.
Looking towards the next transfer window, Barcelona could find themselves in a stronger financial position. Recent changes to the Financial Fair Play rules could offer the Catalans greater flexibility and potentially facilitate a deal for Rashford, but this will depend on his availability.
