Major fire in a single-family home — 104.7 Outaouais

A major fire broke out last night in Ottawa, in the area of ​​3000 Upper Dwyer Hill.

The initial call was received around 3:30 a.m. this morning with a resident reporting a fire in their home.

When firefighters arrived, the residence, a single-family home, was fully on fire, so crews were evacuated at around 4:10 a.m. due to dangerous conditions.

Due to the absence of hydrants in the area, firefighters had to use a water shuttle system to supply the site.

An OC Transpo bus was dispatched to provide shelter to residents.

An Ottawa Fire Department investigator was dispatched to determine the cause of the fire.
