Saturday January 18, 2025, around 11:10 p.m., the Cantonal Police Engagement and Alarm Center was alerted of a fire in a barn in St-Ours, Ober Tasberg.
The firefighters from Wünnewil, Tavel and Guin quickly intervened. They managed to contain the fire, thus preventing it from spreading to neighboring buildings. The barn and the adjoining house were completely destroyed.
The three residents present at the time of the fire were able to evacuate their homes in time. After consultation with paramedics, no injuries were reported. The family was relocated.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes of the fire.
