Winter is an ideal time to prepare comforting dishes using seasonal vegetables. On the other hand, be aware that you have to be very careful before getting started in the kitchen. In fact, a new product recall which concerns Auchan and Leclerc saw the light of day.
A Leclerc and Auchan product recall
The official Rappel Conso website published two important alerts this week concerning the recall of organic pumpkins. The reason? Exceeding the authorized limits of pesticides. These products, highly appreciated for their nutritional qualities and taste, could represent a danger to the health of consumers.
The first recall concerns organic pumpkins from the Bio Village brand. These have seen the light of day in Leclerc stores throughout France. These vegetables were sold at piece between December 4, 2024 and January 13, 2025.
Please note that the batches affected by this recall have the following references: L03, L10, L11, L12, L13, L14, L16, L17, L18 and L19. The product reference is 3564707127028. The Rappel Conso website asks consumers of these products to no longer consume them.

In fact, you have to return them to the store. Customers will then receive a full refund upon presentation of the product concerned. Please also note that for any questions or doubts, you can always contact consumer service at 08 00 86 52 86.
But that’s not all. In addition to this recall at Leclerc, a second recall has emerged. It also concerns unbranded organic pumpkins, also of French origin. These vegetables weigh between 800 and 1,200 grams.
They also saw the light of day in Auchan stores, only in the Bas-Rhin department (67). And this, between December 16, 2024 and January 16, 2025. The lot concerned is L14, with product reference 3700651503338.

Reminder Conso also insists on the need not to consume these Leclerc and Auchan pumpkins. In addition, it is advisable to destroy products sold at Auchan directly. Consumers with questions can contact the dedicated service on 06 83 18 24 96.
Please note that the compensation arrangements for these specific products have not been clarified. Exceeding authorized pesticide limits pose a real public health problem.
