Fire in an apartment building in Flobecq: a septuagenarian escapes the worst but must be rehoused

The Picardy Wallonia emergency services were alerted shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Sunday that a fire had broken out in an apartment building located along rue Pierre Ouvrard in Flobecq. Coming from the barracks of Rebaix (Ath) and Leuze-en-Hainaut, two pumpers, a ladder truck, a tanker, an ambulance, an SMUR and a command vehicle were dispatched to the site.

When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming from one of the apartments. The occupant, who was not injured, was treated by SMUR emergency workers.
