Australian Open > Swiatek, after destroying Raducanu: “It’s not a personal question. I wouldn’t say I’m ruthless and it’s not like I want to show or prove something”

Absolutely imperial against Emma Raducanu (6−1, 6–0) in the third round of the Australian Open, the five-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek spoke at a press conference about the numerous “stunning” inflicted on her opponents in recent years.

“It’s not a personal question. I wouldn’t say I’m ruthless. I just try to have the same attitude and the same level of concentration all the time, no matter the score. But it’s not like I want to show or prove anything. I’m just playing my game. And if it works, why stop? I’ve seen so many matches change even at 5–1, or 5–2. It always keeps pressing. It’s never over until it’s over”
