TikTok carried out its threat this Saturday, January 18, due to not having had the guarantees that the Chinese company requested from Joe Biden. A few hours before a law banning it came into force, the ultra-popular application was therefore made inaccessible to its 170 million American users.

“A law banning TikTok has been implemented in the United States”says the message that appears on the phone screen when a connection attempt is made. “This means you can no longer use TikTok for now.”
