James Rodríguez is set to make his highly anticipated debut for Club León this Saturday, in a clash against Atlas at the Stadion Jalisco in Guadalajara.
The Colombian star traveled with the team during his first week as a León player, immediately asserting himself on the bench under Argentine coach Eduardo Berizzo.
Although Rodríguez will not start, mirroring his recent experience with Rayo Vallecano, fans will be hoping to see him take to the pitch for the first time since signing with the Mexican club.
The departure from Club León against Atlas is composed of: Alfonso Blanco; Sebastián Santos, Stiven Barreiro, Paulo Bellón, Salvador Reyes; Adonis Frías, Iván Moreno, Sebastián Fierro; Emiliano Rigoni, Mauricio Isaís, and Ettson Ayón.
Barreiro will be the only Colombian on the pitch in Guadalajara. The substitutes include Mauricio Isais, Paul Bellón, Sebastián Fierro, Emiliano Rigoni and Sebastián Santos. Notably, James Rodríguez and Jhonder Cádiz will also be on the bench.

-The management of León envisages that Rodríguez plays several years in green, ending a trend of contracts that have not met expectations.
“He will have everything at his disposal here. It will be up to him to respond on the pitch, and I believe he will do it,” Martínez said.
“We have high hopes because the club is assembling a fantastic team, and we have a world-class coach in Toto Berizzo, who is also a wonderful person,” he added.
Mexican media are closely monitoring what Rodríguez can bring, especially given the uncertainty surrounding his performances with his last four clubs.
The Cucuteño midfielder has vowed to give his best for the colors of León. “I’m delighted with this new chapter. Honestly, I’m very happy and excited. This club is like a big family, and they made that clear to me from the first moment. I can’t wait to play my first match and “help León achieve great things,” he said.
