Anglet loses two points against Fréjus

Fréjus is punished, Anglet logically rewarded for the efforts made.

Ruiz, with his bad foot, unscrews a back pass which benefits Diaby, who was not asking for so much to deceive Giffard (46th, 1-1). We’ve been playing for barely twenty-five seconds! Instead of letting themselves be defeated, the locals returned to the fight and Ruiz, the culprit in the equalizer, was very close to giving his team the advantage with a volley following a cross from Becaas (49th).

Of course, Fréjus tries to take the three points to get back to the top of the standings but it remains very approximate in the finish, like the very well placed free kick full axis, at 18 meters, which Barka sends directly into the wall (79th). The Var attacking midfielder did have a second chance two minutes later but Giffard relaxed to clear for a corner (81st).

Less sharp than during the first period, the Genêts still tried to regain the advantage, as on this volley from Becaas which did not go far from Mocio’s bar (77th). The score will no longer move despite this last contentious occasion which will leave the Angloy group with even more regrets. The Genêts, penultimate, remain six lengths from the first non-relegation place before playing three crucial matches, notably two against teams close in the ranking (Goal FC and Bergerac).
