The Senators will look to return to winning ways today after suffering a 1-0 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals on Thursday. This match was very close and airtight as possible, where the solid collective effort of the Senators allowed them to get a point in the standings. Defenseman Donovan Sebrango made his first NHL appearances in place of Thomas Chabot, while goaltender Leevi Meriläinen continued his good run for the Senators, stopping 26 of the 27 shots aimed at him.

This afternoon’s opponents, the Boston Bruins, will be looking for a third straight victory. In their last outing, they beat the Tamia Bay Lightning 6-2 on Tuesday night.

In their first matchup of the season, the Senators defeated the Bruins 3-2 in overtime. Josh Norris and Michael Amadio each scored for the Senators before Brady Tkachuk decided the debate in overtime. This game was marked by a good defensive effort from the Senators who prevented the Bruins from shooting on goal in the third period.

The Senators will therefore look to extend their recent streak of success by securing a second victory against the Bruins this season.
