Severely burned hands and face
The use of several fire hoses made it possible to limit the extension of the blaze to the entire building, with an area of 400 m2. More than 25 firefighters from Besançon, Baume-les-Dames, L’Isle-sur-le-Doubs and Premier Plateau took part in the intervention.
The owner of the premises, an 81-year-old man, suffered severe burns to his hands and face. He was urgently evacuated to Besançon University Hospital. The mayor, gendarmes and specialized Enedis staff were also on site.
