“Renegotiations to the point of exasperating the sellers”… When the purchase price of a property is discussed endlessly

The practice had disappeared for a while with the surge in the post-Covid market where sales were completed in a few days, without discussion possible, at the firm price set by the seller. But it has reappeared in the last two years with the rise in interest rates and the fall in the number of candidates for property. Today, it even seems to be intensifying even though rates have been gradually falling for more than a year.
