Rain and floods: the two departments of Corsica placed on orange alert from this Saturday

Be careful on the Isle of Beauty. Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud will be placed on orange rain-flood alert from this Saturday evening, Météo announced in the morning, due to the Gabri depression which will hit the southern and eastern facades from Corsica.

“The rain-storm degradation will affect the south of the island late Saturday afternoon before extending to a large eastern half of the island during the night from Saturday to Sunday and Sunday,” said the meteorological organization in its bulletin published this Saturday at 6 a.m.

“Sometimes stormy” rain

Southern Corsica will be placed on orange rain-flood alert on Saturday at 8 p.m., and Haute-Corse at 10 p.m. Météo France indicates that the precipitation will begin to “increase” and will be “sometimes stormy on the coast” of Southern Corsica at the end of the afternoon.
