Israel approves truce deal with Hamas, announces release of 737 Palestinian prisoners in first phase

A partial list of 95 Palestinian prisoners expected to be released under the first part of the ceasefire deal, approved by the security cabinet but still to be endorsed by the Israeli government, has been released. was published by the Israeli Ministry of Justice.

The latter specifies that “the full list will be published” after the approval of the agreement by the government, and the release of these prisoners will not take place “before Sunday at 4 p.m.”.

The list includes 70 women, including one minor, and 25 men, including nine under the age of 18. According to information from the ministry, the youngest is 16 years old. On the list, only seven prisoners were arrested before October 7, 2023.

Among them is Khalida Jarrar, a figure in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a classified Marxist movement. “terrorist organization” by Israel, the United States and the European Union.
